Mixer aerator: what is it?
The aerator is called a special nozzle, which is in the spout of the mixer. With the help of thread, it is attached to the spout of a faucet, and its appearance resembles a rigid filter, since it usually consists of one or several thin layers of metal mesh. As you probably already guessed, one of the main purposes of the aerator on the mixer is the filtration of incoming drinking water. The fact is that even though the water passes through different levels of purification, before it gets into the water pipe, it still has small particles. The aerator allows to save it, because, by dividing the tap water by the grid layers, it mixes air bubbles into it. Thanks to this, the flow of water from the mixer visually seems to us great, although in reality it is less than that to which we are accustomed. But in those cranes, which this nozzle does not have, the jet flows crookedly and splashes.
