Imagination, as a mental process, implies the creation of new images by means of existing experience. Images that create the imagination of a person, basically, do not exist at this moment, but in the future they can be fully realized.

Imagination, as a mental cognitive process, is based on the transformation of knowledge and impressions of a person. The more complex and incomprehensible the situation, the greater the role and importance of imagination.

Characteristics of the imagination as a mental process

Imagination is necessary for every person to perform his professional activities. It also has a strong influence on the emotions and feelings of each person. In addition, the imagination takes a direct part in the development of the personality .

Types of imagination:

  1. Passive . The simplest option that arises is simple, without the desire of a person. Most often it appears in a dream, and changes itself.
  2. Active . This kind of person uses in certain activities to build specific images. His person has been using it since his childhood while playing.
  3. Recreational . Apply it to the mental perception of an object by description, for example, while reading a book.
  4. Creative . They use it during their creative activity to create new images.

The role of imagination in the creative and working process
