Method one

Immediately after harvesting the berries are carefully sorted, removing rotten or spoiled, washed and poured with harvested sugar syrup in a ratio of 1: 1. It is worth pointing out that before storing fresh sea buckthorn fresh in this way, the cans must be previously rinsed, sterilized and dried.

Method of the second

Another option, how to preserve the berries of sea buckthorn for the winter, is filling with sugar. Washed berries are placed in a jar for three quarters of the volume. And, each layer of berries with a height of 1 cm is covered with a layer of sugar. At the end of filling the cans, the remaining quarter of the volume is filled with sugar. Please note that for normal storage the ratio of sea buckthorn and sugar should be 3: 4 or 1: 1.
