How to install a filter in the aquarium?

The organization of a home aquarium is always connected with the need to install an internal filter . It is simply necessary for the normal existence of fish, since it saturates the water with oxygen, improves water circulation, and mechanically purifies water. But for beginner aquarists, this often becomes a problem, and they are wondering how to install an aquarium internal filter.

How to install the aquarium filter correctly?

The internal filter is therefore called internal, that it is completely immersed in water. The water level above it, depending on the depth of the aquarium, should be from five to eight centimeters.

To the wall of the aquarium filter is attached using special suction cups, which in most cases are included in the kit.

A flexible transparent tube, called an air hose and intended for air supply, is connected to the nozzle of the filter at one end, while the other is led out to the outside of the aquarium. The tip of the vent hose located outside the aquarium should be located higher than the one that attaches to the nozzle of the filter.

In addition, when installing the filter, you should pay attention to the fact that the air supply power can be changed by means of a special regulator, located either on the tip of the air hose or on the nozzle of the filter. First put it in the middle position. And you can adjust the position you need by looking at the fish. There are species of fish that love strong currents, and there are others who do not tolerate it. With a weak level of power, the bubble filter may not be present, in this case, light water swaying will tell about its proper operation.

After the installation of the aquarium filter is completed and all the parts are connected, you can connect it to the mains. And for the future, remember that any manipulations in the aquarium should be carried out with the filter turned off from the outlet.
