Before you glue the assembled large puzzle, you need to study the existing techniques and stock up with the necessary materials. If you are planning to create a picture that will decorate the wall in the living room or the nursery, then it is necessary to approach carefully the choice of the grounds for it. Do not interfere with the frame that frames our homemade work of art.

How to properly glue puzzles?

  1. First we will prepare the basis for the picture. If the assembled puzzle is a small size, then it can be pasted onto a Whatman paper or a cardboard sheet. When the future masterpiece has a decent size, the base should be solid, even and dense enough. Good for this purpose plywood or sheet of particleboard, which is well attached to any glue.
  2. A good option - a tile for the ceiling, which can accommodate about 500 puzzles.
  3. The edges of such tiles have a facet and it needs to be cut with a stationery knife.
  4. Now we grease the tile with PVA glue and get down to work.
  5. If the picture is very large and you want to combine several tiles, then you can do this by cutting out the combining edges in a zigzag, in order to exclude the fracture of the picture.
  6. As already mentioned above, the cheapest and most popular glue is PVA. It can be replaced with a special glue for puzzles, which sometimes comes bundled with them.
  7. Another glue for gluing puzzles is similar to a shoe sponge. It is convenient for them to work without the use of a spatula.

How to glue the puzzles with special glue in the picture?

One option is to pour them on the front side. It is necessary to carefully fill the gaps between all the parts.

To spread the glue evenly, apply a cardboard spatula or any suitable object and leave the painting to dry for three hours.

How to glue puzzles with PVA glue?

There is nothing easier - pour a picture of them, a fairly dense layer. Drying, the glue forms uneven spots, but it is not worth it to be afraid. After a few hours, the layer will become transparent and you can transfer well-attached puzzles to the base.

Less reliable, but sometimes used method - sticking puzzles with scotch tape. It can be two-sided and then the picture is easily attached to the base.
