Glowing nail polish

Perfect manicure now no one is surprised. Classical manicure , French manicure, build-up, a variety of paintings , even decorations. But, nevertheless, new items all appear and appear. Among the youth, luminous nail polish has been very popular lately. The highlight of such a nail coating is that it glows in the dark, which will look good, for example, at a club party, but not suitable for a business lady.

Lacquer, glow in the dark

The secret of such varnishes is in the luminescent pigment (usually TAT33). Under natural light, this nail coating is practically the same as the usual varnish. Whereas under artificial light the phosphor begins to glow, and the dimmer the illumination, the brighter the nails are painted, painted with such a varnish.

The color palette of luminous varnishes is quite rich, but usually it is bright, saturated hues. Brightest in the dark glow blue and green lacquers. Sometimes such a varnish is mixed in a gel or acrylic, used in the modeling of false nails, and thus get nails that glow in the dark even without the application of varnish.

Luminous varnishes produce two types:

In the second case, we get a manicure that looks like an ordinary day, but glows in the dark. To obtain a brighter glow, the varnish (both primer and corrector) is recommended to be applied in several layers. For a primer, two layers are usually enough, as with normal nail painting, whereas in the case of a corrector, up to six layers may be required to obtain intense glow.

Professional luminous varnish

Of course, the choice of luminous lacquers is not so great as usual, but lately there have been more and more of them. Let's consider the most popular variants.

  1. Lacquer Jerden Phosphoric - a budget option. A translucent or clear liquid that is better applied over a colored layer. To nails shone you need to hold them in a very bright light.
  2. Lucky Dance Legend is a relatively inexpensive varnish-proofreader that glows well in the dark and lasts for several days.
  3. Lacquers Neil Art - a line of colored luminous lacquers with a large selection of shades.

Often luminous varnishes can be found in shops where jokes are sold, various festive entourage (for example, to Halloween) and similar places.

How to make a luminous varnish?

Of course, to make a varnish completely from scratch you will not succeed. But if for some reason you could not find it (this is not yet the most common product), or you did not pick the right shade, you can always experiment and try to make a luminous varnish at home.

In online stores, not only luminous varnishes are on sale, but separately - a luminescent pigment. To prepare a luminous varnish, you will need a bottle of any clear varnish, a phosphor and an envelope or a dense plastic bag.

  1. Cut off the edge of the envelope, making it a "funnel".
  2. Open the bottle of varnish and insert the funnel into it.
  3. Pour in the right amount of pigment. To obtain a luminous varnish, you need to add a pigment in the ratio 1: 4.
  4. Stir the lacquer with the pigment using a toothpick. Then close the bottle tightly and shake several times, until the luminescent pigment is completely dissolved.

You can also add the substance and in the color lacquer, but in this case the glow effect will be much weaker than using a transparent coating that can be applied from above, on the already painted nail.
