Flavamed Tablets

For the treatment of cough, new mucolytic drugs with a more effective effect are being developed all the time. These medicines include Flavamed tablets, which are available in two types - for dissolution in water (effervescent, with cherry flavor) and direct oral administration.

Tablets from Cough Flavamed

The active substance in the drug under consideration is ambroxol hydrochloride. This ingredient has irritating effect on the bronchi, causing an increase in the production of sputum. At the same time, natural secretion is stimulated, so Flavamed is both a mucolytic and expectorant.

The described drug has a pronounced effect and acts quickly, already 30 minutes after the administration, patients feel relief. The duration of the result is about 10-12 hours.

Indications for Flavamed:

Cough therapy is performed according to the scheme:

  1. The first 3 days - 1 tablet, which corresponds to 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride, three times a day.
  2. The next days should take the capsule 2 times in 24 hours.

If there is a serious degree of disease, a single dosage can be doubled in the first 2-3 days of treatment.

Side effects occur extremely rarely (less than 0.01% of cases). Among them:

Contraindications for the drug is almost none, it is not recommended to take it only with intolerance of ambroxol and fructose.

Effervescent tablets Flavamed Forte

This form of release is very convenient and allows you to quickly achieve a therapeutic effect, because of the drug solution, the active substance is absorbed almost 100%.

Instructions for the use of effervescent tablets Flavamed:

  1. Divide the tablet in half (1 unit contains 60 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride, while a single dose is 30 mg).
  2. Dissolve the drug in 1 glass of warm water, stir well.
  3. Drink the remedy, repeat 2 more times.

The scheme for taking effervescent tablets is the same as for regular capsules.

The entire course of cough treatment should not exceed 5 days. If during this time there is no improvement, you should change the medicine.
