What is this disease - dactectasia of mammary glands?
Such a violation is characterized by a pathological expansion of the gland ducts - subareolar canals. The disease develops as a consequence of changes in the body of women 40-45 years old.
In itself, this phenomenon can not be called a diagnosis, since the condition can be regarded as a sign of an approaching mastopathy. In addition, the expansion of the ducts may indicate:
- hormonal disbalance;
- inflammatory process;
- development of tumors.
All these violations require close attention on the part of doctors. This is why a woman undergoes a comprehensive examination during dukectectasia.
However, it should be noted that ductectasia can be noted during sexual arousal - the allocation of a transparent secret from the nipples, which is regarded as a norm.
What are the symptoms of the disorder?
Before I tell you about the peculiarities of treating mammary ductectasia, consider the main signs, the presence of which may indicate a violation. These include:
- soreness in the mammary gland;
- the appearance of seals in the areola region, which is found during palpation;
- burning, itching in the nipple area;
- the appearance of swelling and hyperemia of the nipple;
- retraction, displacement of the nipple;
- the appearance of secretions from the ducts of the breast: from whitish, to yellowish and even, sometimes, brown, bloody. The latter, as a rule, are noted in the presence of a tumor-like process in the gland.
How is breastectomy treated?
Typically, this condition requires conservative treatment, which is directed directly at the elimination of causes. So, if an inflammatory process has been brought to him, then the doctor prescribes anti-inflammatory, restorative drugs.
With hormonal etiology, the correction is aimed at restoring the hormonal background.
If conservative treatment does not bring the desired results, then an operative intervention is appointed, - removal of the dilated ducts. At the same time, part of the tissue is sent for histological examination, in order to exclude the tumor or to determine the nature, if it is not identified.
