Complex judgments

Have you noticed how often you speak, do you talk out loud or about yourself? It is not excluded that a dozen times a day. But did you ask yourself: "What is a proposition?", But it is complicated, simple and consists of logical connections.

Simple and complex judgments

Logic focuses its research on the forms of thinking in which the individual is peculiar to give reasoning to objects, subjects, their relationships with other similar, their properties, etc. Formulating otherwise, this philosophical science examines the judgments that are classified into:

  1. Simple, including concepts.
  2. Complex, consisting of the above simple judgments.

Types of complex judgments

Complex judgments are created in logic by a combination of simple ones. Each part of it is denoted by Latin letters (A, B, C, D, etc.). Depending on the method of creating a judgment, it happens:

Conjunctive consists of conjunctions (logical links acting in the form of unions: "which", "and", "but," but "," but, "" yes, "etc.). Consist of two or more parts. For example, "Sometimes the motivation of an action is inexplicable not only to others, but to the person himself."

Separative judgments are connected by the "or" and are divided into the following subspecies:

An example of a divisive proposition may be the following sentence: "An act is either carefully thought out or erroneous."

Unions "if ... then" are conditional judgments. They consist of two simple judgments. Example: "If you do self-improvement, then you can achieve what you have planned."

Equivalent equalize the parts of a complex judgment. The logical union is "enough", "if only", etc. Example: "To achieve the planned, it's enough just to begin to carry out the slightest action on the way to the desired." As the name of this kind of proposition says, the union in the negative is "no": "You do not have to condemn the person without feeling everything on yourself."

It is important to note that the truth of complex judgments depends on the extent to which their constituent simple parts are true and what alliances form them.
