Vianden is one of the many small communes of Luxembourg , to which the Grand Duchy is divided in small measure. A small town in fact has great popularity in the tourist environment. In the Small Palace, where the passage through the observation roof leads, you will be shown the captains' hall and the weapons room, in which presently restored modern medieval weapons are stored: muskets, crossbows and so on. The Byzantine Hall is a covered gallery, decorated with bright patterned windows. In the premises of the castle tried to recreate the medieval era with the help of scenery in the form of wax figures of local residents.
The place for the castle was chosen to be checked: the ruins of an ancient Roman fortress on a hill 515 meters high above sea level. For almost three centuries, built in the Romanesque style, the tower behind the tower for the kind of Count of Viandensky.
