The idea of creating
Jason Taylor for many years explored the banks of Grenada and in the place where the Underwater Sculpture Park is now, he noted that the marine world is on the verge of destruction. At that time, it was associated with a large influx of divers and tourists, who with their equipment and the desire to take from the seabed something to the memory of exterminated almost all the coral reefs. So, the well-known ecologist took a non-standard decision: to submerge under water several figures from special concrete, on which new reefs will build up and nests of fish will be built. This idea fully justified itself, so during the year, 400 more sculptures were shipped, which formed the park.
