A well-known strawberry variety was bred by Italian breeders for commercial purposes, but ordinary owners of small plots who grow berries for themselves also looked after it. It can be grown both in the midlands of Russia and Ukraine, and in open or closed ground.

The strawberry clusters "Clery", tall, rounded, covered with dark green, shiny leaves. In early May, on white peduncles, white pubescent inflorescence appears. Of these, in late May - early June, beautiful cone-shaped berries of a bright red hue and a fairly large size develop. The weight of one berry can reach the order of 35-55 g. All ripening fruits are almost the same size, so the advantages of the variety, of course, can be attributed to the type of fruit. The berries have an excellent sweet taste with a slight acidic note and a rich aroma. Yes, and transport the strawberry "Clery" is easy - the flesh of berries is dense. It is almost not damaged during storage and transportation.

Among the benefits of the strawberry "Clery" is very high yield, not only earlier ripening. So, for example, from one hectare of the area, planted with bushes with proper care, you can grow up to 200 kilograms.

In addition, the characteristic of the strawberry "Clery" would be incomplete without mentioning the resistance to frost, various diseases, including the root system.

By the way, it is not difficult to propagate a variety - it has a mother bush giving two to three dozen rosettes a year.

How to grow a strawberry "Clery"?

Cultivation of strawberry "Clery" will be simple even for beginners in gardening. When planting healthy, strong seedlings are located on the site freely, not thickened. The distance between young plants should reach 30-35 cm.

In the future, care for the variety of "Clery" involves mandatory systematic watering, which is produced during flowering bushes preferably under the root. In low-heat weather, when fruiting, it is enough to water once a week. When heat water is produced more often - 2-3 times a week. Of course, we must not forget about the removal of weeds on the plot planted with strawberries. A few days after watering, the soil needs to be loosened.

As the experienced truck farmers say, strawberry variety "Clery" does not require complex fertilizers, it is suitable for feeding organic matter, for example, humus.
