Before presenting her new composition Fetish, Selena to a foreign publication gave a short interview in which she told about what this song and the album she will be part of will represent. That's what Gomez said:
"When I listen to the radio, I'm very annoyed that the music is constantly changing in style. I just need to find a song that I like, how it ends and something completely different begins. After a couple of minutes you begin to understand that it can not go on like this and start to switch the radio frantically to another channel. In my new album, the songs will all be the same in melody. By the way, this applies to the composition of Fetish. Having included a CD with my album, as soon as it is released, the listener will not need to go through songs because of music and words, they will all be alike. In addition, the new record will include songs that will represent the musical history of each individual song. I very much hope that many unorthodox approaches to music will appeal to many. "
