Products-allergens

Many substances that enter the human body, including food, can cause allergic reactions, manifested as a variety of symptoms (digestive, skin, respiratory). Such manifestations are the response of the body's immune system to a particular substance. In some cases, allergic reactions can lead to very dangerous consequences (up to a lethal outcome with Quincke's edema). According to the general opinion of physicians, almost any food product can cause allergic reactions (distinguish between true allergies and false allergies). The problem of allergic reactions is the subject of serious scientific research.

One way or another, it is possible to identify certain foods that are capable of provoking the development of certain allergic reactions with a high degree of probability. These products are also considered to be food-allergens.

Which foods are allergens?

The most common food allergens are well known.

To the list of allergens in the general mass of familiar to us and habitual foodstuffs it is necessary to carry:

If the product that causes individual allergic reactions is determined, it should be excluded from the diet completely (in some cases, after consultation with a specialist and treatment enough to reduce the amount).

It should be noted that sometimes it is difficult to determine the product-allergen. In such cases, of course, you should consult a doctor, since allergic reactions can occur not only as a response to what was eaten just now, but also as a result of accumulation of an allergen substance in the body.

In general, people with allergic problems can be recommended to eat beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey and rabbit meat, vegetable and butter, rice, oatmeal, cereals and vegetable dishes (excluding wheat cereals containing gluten). Also, most likely, you can eat potatoes, unsweetened natural yogurt, kefir, yogurt, cottage cheese. From vegetables and fruits, cucumbers, zucchini, onions, apples, plums, pears, currants and gooseberries (in baked form or in the form of compotes), diet bread or loaves with certain qualities, sugar are suitable. From mushrooms the least dangerous are those grown artificially (white, champignons, oyster mushrooms). Of course, these products should be used carefully.

It should be understood that some of the finished products offered by the trading networks may include products containing allergens. This is mainly about sausages and various canned foods. Carefully study the packaging.
