Design and colors of parquet

In a room that is located on the west or north side, it is better to lay a light floor. It will reflect light, visually the space will expand. Prefer halftones, not snow-white. The dark floor - an excellent option for creating a contrast with light walls, color accessories. Bright colors visually increase the room, dark, muffled - hide the area.

The texture also plays an important role, because the key points of the decor are in the details. Parquet can have V-shaped grooves along the perimeter or along the long part of the panel. The plinth must be of the same (similar) color with the floor or walls.

Furniture and parquet base should differ from each other by at least 2 tones and preferably according to the material, or it is worthwhile to make contrasting in color parts in the interior (carpet, curtains). In the design of apartments, parquet from natural oak looks profitable with a dark walnut, wenge. Tropical rocks due to their texture (jatoba, teak, doussya, merbau) is better to combine with calm pastel colors or different shades of white.

In the design of floors a combination of parquet with tiles is used. This is an advantageous method for breaking up a room into zones, for example, a dining room and a place for rest.
