Nausea and dizziness are the causes of women

One of the most frequent complaints with a doctor is dizziness. This is especially true among people of the fair sex. The complexity of therapy is that it is sometimes difficult to find out what causes nausea and dizziness - the reasons for women can be very different, ranging from trivial overwork and ending with serious pathologies of the spinal cord, the brain.

Causes of severe sudden dizziness and nausea

If the described clinical manifestations are unstable, they can be provoked by psychogenic factors - stress, depressive episodes and emotional overload. As a rule, such conditions are accompanied by irritability, inexplicable temper tantrums, severe overwork.

Other causes of sudden dizziness and nausea:

  1. Borreliosis. Toxins affect the nerve endings and vessels, causing them to spasm.
  2. Oxygen starvation (hypoxia) of the brain tissue. Due to a shortage of necessary substances, the regulatory body suspends the activities of the zones responsible for consciousness.
  3. Orthostatic collapse. It is the main cause of nausea and dizziness in the morning, with a sudden rise from bed and a rapid change in body position. At the same time, visual pathologies are observed ("midges", flashes before the eyes, turbidity), ambiguity of thoughts.
  4. Hypoglycemia due to prolonged fasting and anemia. Reducing the concentration of glucose in the bloodstream triggers digestive disorders and brain function.
  5. Hormonal imbalance. Occurs during menstruation, pregnancy and menopause. These conditions in women lead to increased excitability and disorders of the vegetative system.
  6. Intoxication, including - poisoning with alcoholic beverages. This cause of nausea and dizziness is combined with weakness and pain in the abdomen, as well as intense vomiting. Poisonous compounds interfere with the normal functioning of the brain and liver.
  7. Mechanical injuries of the spine. They also include craniocerebral injuries.
  8. Strokes (hemorrhagic, ischemic). Have additional symptoms - double vision , speech, consciousness, vision, orientation in space.

Causes of persistent nausea and dizziness

The considered phenomena, which are observed for a long time in different degrees of severity, can arise due to such factors:

  1. Osteochondrosis in the cervical spine. It is accompanied by limited mobility of the head, pain around the neck, numbness, tingling in the fingers.
  2. Ménière's disease. Among the additional symptoms - a noise in the ears, vomiting, a gradual decrease in hearing.
  3. Labyrinth. It is an inflammatory disease of a viral origin. It is characterized by pain in the ears, discharge from the auditory canal, deafness.
  4. Pathology of the eye muscles. Patients complain of flashing, "lights" before the eyes;
  5. Malignant and benign brain tumors. This cause of dizziness and nausea provokes impaired coordination, vomiting, sometimes - visual and auditory hallucinations, especially in the morning.
  6. Meningitis. It is an inflammatory infectious process in the brain tissues. Accompanied by acute pain and aching joints, dark spots on the skin.
  7. Migraine. In this case, the signs considered are forerunners of the attack, which lasts from 1 hour to several days.

Another cause of dizziness and nausea with weakness may be hypertension (hypertension) or vice versa - its excessive decrease ( hypotension ).
