Myocardial dystrophy

To put it in simple terms, this disease is characterized by a disturbance in the nutrition of the heart muscle, which causes the cardiac apparatus to become difficult to work. There is a weakening of the contractile muscle of the heart, respectively, the blood begins to circulate badly, the body receives less oxygen and the necessary components, which normally must flow into the blood.

Myocardial dystrophy - causes

All the attendant causes of the onset of the disease are reflected in the work of the heart muscle cells:

Myocardial dystrophy of the heart - clinical manifestations

All the symptoms manifested during the disease, directly depend on the cause of its occurrence. Roughly speaking, each reason has its consequences. But, despite this, patients, in general, complain of the following manifestations:

Myocardial dystrophy - classification of the disease

The disease is classified as follows:

In addition, the most common forms of myocardial dystrophy are distinguished. Let us consider them in more detail.

Dyshormonal myocardial dystrophy

This type of disease is characterized by a violation of metabolic processes in the heart muscle. The causes of its occurrence are hormonal failures in the body. Most often this form of the disease occurs in women over 45 years. In men is rare, which is due to a disruption in the production of the hormone testosterone. In case of its shortage, dyshormonal myocardial dystrophy of the heart arises.

Dysmetabolic myocardial dystrophy

This form is caused by serious violations of the balance of the carbohydrate and protein composition of all foods consumed. That is, in particular, the lack of essential vitamins. As a consequence, there is a metabolic disorder. But, despite this, the listed reasons are not official, so there are cases when the reasons are quite different and it is impossible to single out one main one. Also, an imbalance of estrogens is often observed during an illness in the body. This, too, can cause a dysmetabolic myocardial dystrophy.

Secondary myocardial dystrophy

Since myocardial dystrophy is a secondary heart disease, this type of illness speaks for itself. We can say that there are practically no differences. Here only the probability of occurrence of the secondary form is great only in women during menopause or a serious hormonal disorder after 45 years. The signs and the main symptoms are exactly the same, as with other forms of the disease, except that secondary myocardial dystrophy is accompanied by arrhythmia, dull pain in the chest and directly in the heart.

Diagnosis of the disease

There is no special and specific diagnosis of this problem. This is a general examination, which, as a rule, occurs after certain complaints of patients. Therefore, the diagnosis and further treatment is appointed purely by the doctor, based on the results of the preliminary examination. Conduct an electrocardiogram and an ultrasound of the heart.
