Museums of Kiev

Aviation Museum in Kiev

The museum was opened for the 100th anniversary of aviation in 2003. It occupies 15 hectares of Zhuliany airfield. The Dream Museum holds open conferences, lectures, exhibitions, seminars, master classes and film screenings. Twice a month the club of free associations gathers and its participants play the game DiXit, which requires the help of associations to guess the image.

Museum of Chernobyl in Kiev

The accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is known to the world as the largest radioecological catastrophe of the 20th century. The problems that have arisen because of it, unfortunately, will remind us about ourselves and our descendants. The history of the tragic events was preserved in the National Museum "Chernobyl", which opened on April 26, 1992, six years after the accident.

The mission of this museum - thanks to the fates of thousands of people (witnesses, participants, victims) to realize the scale of the catastrophe, to recognize the need for reconciliation of man, science and technology, which threatened the existence of the whole world and draw conclusions from the tragedy, not letting anyone forget it, becoming a warning for the next generations.

Bulgakov Museum in Kiev

This literary and memorial museum was opened in the capital in 1989. In his collection there are about 3,000 exhibits, 500 of which belonged to Mikhail Afanasyevich personally. Since the opening of the museum collection has increased 10 times. The Bulgakov Museum is located in the thirteenth house along the Andreevsky Descent, well known to readers based on the novel The White Guard.
