Currants are washed and dried, put in a large glass jar and pour vodka so that the berries are completely covered. We roll up the lid and put it in a dry dark place.

In the middle of December we take out the jar and pour the contents into a large saucepan. Stretch the berries to make a juice out of them (you can use a blender) and wipe it all through a fine sieve, carefully filtering out the liquid.

For each 500 ml of filtered liquid, add 500 g of sugar and another 125 ml of vodka. We put it on the fire and bring it to a boil on low heat, remove the foam, wait for the complete dissolution of the sugar. We cook until a syrupy state, but can not be digested, otherwise it will turn out jelly. Hot liquor is poured into sterilized jars or bottles with a tightly screwed lid.
