Before preparing the strawberry liqueur at home, the berries should be washed, and after drying, remove the peduncle from them and divide the flesh in half or into four parts (depending on the original size of the berry). After, pieces of strawberries are poured with vodka, they are closed with a future liquor and left in the sun for about a week. After a while, the vodka is poured into a separate container, and the remaining years are mixed with sugar and lemon juice. Close the berry mixture and leave it in the same place for another 3 days. When a syrup is formed in the jar, pour it into the strawberry vodka, and fill the remaining berries with water and shake well. Strain the berries, collecting the remains of syrup with water, and pour it into the vodka. Mix the remainder of the syrup with the liquor and leave for another 3-4 days. During this time, the homemade strawberry liqueur will become lighter and it can be easily removed from the sediment.

How to make a fragrant strawberry liqueur?

To liquor received the maximum of the aroma from the ripe berries, it must first be purified. Vary the taste of a ready-made drink by using a different alcohol base: vodka, brandy or schnapps, for example.

Cook a simple syrup from water and sugar until the crystals of the latter dissolve.

Strain the strawberry puree, and combine the prepared tincture with the cooled syrup and pour into bottles. Bottles with ready-made liqueur should be stored tightly sealed in the cold.
