- The back should be flat, not tense;
- The height of the table should correspond to the height of the child. Thus, the student will not have to slouch or raise his elbows too high;
- Do not bend your head forward or bend your back when sitting. The neck should be straight, and the back should touch the back of the chair.
How to choose the right table?
Correct posture in many respects depends on the correctly organized workplace of the schoolboy and on the quality of the desk and chair. During life, as a child grows, furniture must "grow" with it. To do this, you can either regularly buy new tables and chairs, or you can initially choose models with the ability to adjust the height, angle and other characteristics.
It is also important to remember that too bright or light furniture reflects a lot of light rays, and too dark a surface of the desk absorbs light. Both of which lead to rapid fatigue of the child's eyes. It is best to choose neutral colors of the table top (pastel or shades of natural wood).
Depending on the growth of the child, a table and chair of the following height are recommended:
- with an increase of 110-119 cm, the table should be 52 cm, and the stool - 32 cm;
- with an increase of 120-129 cm - a table 57, a chair - 35 cm;
- with an increase of 130-139 cm - a table 62, a chair - 38 cm.
Prophylaxis of disorders of posture in children
Excellent prevention of violations of posture is sports. Regular moderate exercise helps maintain muscle tone of the back and abdomen, which significantly reduces the risk of curvature of the spine. Of course, the most important element in the formation of proper posture is conscious control over the correctness of the position of the body in sedentary work. Not only the children themselves, but parents must constantly monitor the correctness of their posture, always trying to sit upright, not stooping or bending.
