We will need:
- tracing paper;
- the cloth;
- elastic;
- scissors;
- pins;
- a piece of chalk;
- sewing machine.
- Sewing accessories for the children's stroller will begin with the construction of a pattern. Universal it can not be, because the shape of the seat in the wheelchair is different. So, let's make the measurements of the seat, and then transfer them to the tracing paper. Then, with the help of pins, attach the pattern to the fabric that was chosen for sewing a mattress, loop around and cut out, not forgetting the allowances for seams. If you need a summer mattress, two such details will suffice. For the winter version, you should make four or six layers or choose a more dense fabric.
- Now you need to think about how the mattress will be attached to the stroller. If you are making an accessory for a stroller, then your baby already knows how to sit on his own, and, therefore, behaves actively. A mattress without fixing will have to be constantly corrected. This will remove the valve, which can be sewn to the mattress from above. Its shape depends on the model of the stroller. If the upholstery is attached to the frame with the help of buttons, you can make two additional ones, to which the mattress will be attached. In case the upholstery is not removed, it is better to use elastic bands.
