During the repair, much attention is paid to the design of the floor. To floor lay flat, it is worth taking care of the quality of the foundation, that is, the floor itself. It should be dry, smooth and not have differences with respect to the zero mark. Unfortunately, for some people, not related to construction activities, the question of how to level the floor in the house can become problematic. In fact, there is nothing supernatural about this.
The second life of a wooden floor
The wooden floor is environmentally friendly, durable and easy to clean. But in the course of long-term operation it can lose its appearance, it can form crevices, cracks and dents. If it is enough to apply a new screed on concrete floors, then for leveling wooden floors there are several different options. When making a decision, the better the leveling of the floor, you should focus on your financial resources, on how long you are willing to spend on it, and how difficult it is for you or this method.
To save money, you can level the floor in a wooden house by touching and updating the floorboards. To do this, remove the wooden floorboards and plan them with a planer to the extent that they have acquired a "commodity" look. Then put them back into place. This method is practically not costly, but it is quite laborious and dusty.
To level the floor without removing the boards, you can use a sewing machine. Before cycling the floor, it is necessary to securely fasten all the staggering boards with screws. Hats of existing fasteners (nails or screws) should be drowned as deep as possible into the wood, otherwise you risk damaging the equipment. After treating the floor with a sewing machine, the joints of the boards, cracks or small holes are closed with acrylic putty.
Do not forget that the methods described above can only level out small irregularities in the floor, small cracks and holes. In addition, such options are suitable only for a well-preserved, dense, dry wooden floor, which has only superficial damage. If the boards are warped, rotted or damaged by insects, they should be replaced.
Leveling the wooden floor under the cover
In order to level the wooden floor for a laminate, tile or linoleum, some additional work is required. Consider the option of how to level the floor with plywood. First, you must carefully check the floor for poor quality boards (rotten or rotten), replace them and treat the entire floor area with an antiseptic. Then on the existing floor to fix the lath of additional rails. They will create stiffeners, and the space between the new and old floors is additional ventilation. Top plywood is attached to the slats. The sheets are fastened every 1-1.5 meters with screws.
