Homeland of fish gourami

Asia has long remained their only habitat. Despite all the efforts, representatives of fish could not transport to Europe. During the voyage on the ship, the barrels of water, where the fishes were swimming, were tightly closed with a lid to avoid water splashing and loss of fish. However, the gurami is a representative of the labyrinthine fish, which means that for life it simply needs to swim to the surface of the water from time to time and swallow a bubble of air from outside. Alas, the travelers did not foresee this, and none of the fish did not reach Europe alive. Only 20 years later, giraffes fell into the European countries and became popular among aquarists.
