If you are planning to celebrate your children's birthday in the near future, want to throw a merry party or just create a festive mood, you will need decorations that will help create the appropriate atmosphere. A garland of flags will perfectly cope with this task. But you do not need to spend money to buy it. A garland made of paper flags made by oneself, will look no worse, and its creation does not take away much time from you.
Quickly, simply and effectively
In this master class we will tell you how to make a garland of flags, having spent half an hour of time, several sheets of colored paper and several meters of wide tape or rubber bands. First, cut out squares of the same size from the paper. Then bend them diagonally and cut them in half to make triangles. Now prepare the tape to which the flags will be attached. At both ends of it, sew two identical pieces at a distance of 20-25 centimeters from the end of the tape. These elements will be needed so that the garland can be fastened to supports (wood, column, pipe, etc.). Then sew the triangles to the tape at the same distance from each other. Use a "zigzag" line to prevent paper from tearing. And do not forget to alternate the flags of different colors. Decoration is ready!

More creative!
There is plenty of time, but the usual garland seems boring to you? Then try sewing a garland of flags made of fabric, decorated with decorative buttons.
You will need:
- sheets of colored paper;
- cuts of fabric;
- elastic or wide band;
- buttons, sequins;
- PVA glue.
- Cut out from the paper a few dozen triangles of different sizes. Paper can be used any, not only in color, but also in density. Even ordinary newspapers will be welcome.
- Now you can start cutting out triangles from the fabric, but their size should be smaller than that of paper. Also need to cut a few dozen different colored small squares. When all the elements are ready, place on each paper flag fabric, and on it - a square. The colors of all three elements are better to choose contrasting, so that the garland looked bright. If the result you like, glue all the details in one three-layer check box. Similarly, make the remaining checkboxes.
- And now the most interesting thing is the decoration of the flags. Sew a bright button in the center, paste sequins or rhinestones. You can decorate in this way all the flags or every second, third or fifth. It remains to sew the flags to the tape at the same distance from each other, and you can proceed to decorating the room.
