Every parent wants his child to look the best at the children's festival. Therefore, by the New Year, Christmas and other holidays, everyone is fleeing to take dresses and costumes for rent or to order them in the atelier. But it's much better to sew, for example, New Year's costume of a Christmas tree with your own hands. And the child will be pleased that the parents tried to specially for him and sewed him a suit, besides, and the child can take part in the process of making a costume or at least just watch this interesting action.
Since the carnival costume of a Christmas tree often occurs on all matinees so that your child is original, let's look at the process of making an original costume, which is also supplemented with festive lights, so that your child will not get lost in the crowd even in the late evening, if suddenly you decide linger on the street to watch the festive fireworks.
Fur-tree costume with own hands
First, let's determine what you need to sew a children's suit of a Christmas tree.
For the fabric part of the costume, you will need:
- a few meters of green fabric (in this master class used corduroy, but you can take another fabric);
- sewing machine (or skillful handles);
- glue gun;
- decorative elements for decorating a suit (ribbons, patches - all for your taste and taste of your child).
For the electric part of the costume you will need:
- wire;
- wires with illumination;
- a little tight thread;
- finger batteries;
- soldering iron.

Step 1 : The pattern of the Christmas tree costume you need to create, guided by the size and growth of your child. Having created by own hands a pattern of a suit of a fur-tree, using it, cut out details of a dress from a fabric. Since in this suit the wires will be used to protect the child from them, and even the wires from the child, it is best to add to the costume a second layer of fabric, the so-called lining. So it will be both more convenient and safer. The lower layer of the dress, the lining, sew completely, leaving only the shoulder uncrossed, so that the child can pull it over the head. But the upper layer of the dress, the main, sew only in one side.

Step 2 : Lay out the top of the suit to mark with a pencil or soap line for the arrangement of wires with illumination. To make the costume look more stylish, like a real Christmas tree, the wires can be placed diagonally (from the shoulder to the opposite end of the hem of the dress, where contacts and batteries will be located), like the lights girdle the suit, like a garland tree. For those who do not particularly understand the electronics, it should be noted that the short legs of the wires should look in one direction, and the long ones in the opposite and long paws are attached to the plus on the batteries.

Step 3: Using a multicore wire, wire the LED wires together. Carefully, in order not to exert excess pressure on the wires, fix it all with a soldering iron. Secure the wires, sew the rest of the dress together. After this, fix the finger batteries near the edge of the hem and attach the wires to them (remember that the long paws are equal to the plus and the short ones to the minus). Cut off the wires, drip on them with hot glue to protect from damage, both contacts and your child's legs.

Step 4: Sew all that is left uncoated. And the last step is dressing the dress. You can glue on it, put on tapes and beads - everything that you just come to mind. You can also let the wire on the hem of the dress, so that it keeps its round shape.
