Despite the opinion of some inexperienced gardeners, "Hom" is not a fertilizer, but a fungicide, that is, a substance designed to protect various plants (vegetable, fruit and ornamental) from diseases. Its active substance is copper chloride. The preparation has the form of a powder, on sale it is found in the packaged form in bags of 20 and 40 g.
Appointment of "Hom"
The purpose of using the so-called "Hom" fertilizer is to fight against such diseases:
- scab on apples and pears;
- late blight on tomatoes and potatoes;
- rot of plum fruit;
- curly leaves of peach leaves;
- mildew on grapes;
- rust and patchiness of ornamental crops;
- peronosporoz on cucumbers and onions;
- fungal diseases of various cultures.
Instructions for the application of "Hom" fertilizer
Depending on the type of culture and disease, the drug should be diluted in a certain amount of fluid and sprayed in dry and windless weather. In this case, it is necessary to monitor the uniformity of wetting the leaves of plants.
For tomatoes, "Hom" fertilizer is used in the following way:
- 40 g of powder must be diluted first in a small amount of water until it dissolves completely.
- Dissolved fungicide should be diluted to a total volume of ten liters.
- This volume can be treated up to 100 m & sup2, producing spraying during the growing season.
- Processing tomatoes should be four times a season at intervals of 5 days.
Precautions when working with fungicide Hom
This drug has a third hazard class - a moderately hazardous substance. It is not phytotoxic, provided it is used competently and does not affect crop rotation. It is also of little danger to bees and is permitted for use near fishery reservoirs.
While working with the drug "Hom" it is forbidden to eat, drink or smoke. It is necessary to use personal protective equipment for skin, eyes and respiratory system: cotton bathrobe, rubber gloves, respirator, goggles.
During work with the drug, children or animals should not be near. After finishing the treatment, you need to wash your face and hands with soap, change clothes, rinse your mouth. It is inadmissible to get the drug into wells, water bodies and other sources of water supply.
It is inadmissible to treat during the flowering period of plants. Also, processing should not be carried out if the air temperature is above + 30 ° C. If the expiration date of the drug has expired, it should not be used.
