Facial skin care in a sports style

Regular exercise in sports, especially in the fresh air, is a pledge not only of the beautiful physical form and normal functioning of the body, but also of good appearance, health of the skin of the face. However, along with this, each physical activity is a kind of stress for the skin, because in this case, external factors (dust, changes in air temperature, wind, solar radiation, etc.) exert more force on it. In view of this, it becomes clear that athletes need special skin care.

What happens to the skin during sports?

When exercising, the heart works more actively, as a result, first of all, blood circulation and metabolism increase. At the same time, the skin, being one of the largest excretory organs, activates the secretory activity, intensively isolating the products of vital activity - sweat and sebum. Together with them toxins, salts and water are emitted from the pores, microcirculation processes in the skin are intensified, and its temperature increases.

Recommendations for skin care in sports

Before you begin to play sports, you need to prepare for this skin.

  1. First of all, during physical exercises, the skin should be thoroughly cleaned, especially from decorative cosmetics, which hinders the breathing of the skin. Be sure to perform procedures to cleanse the person before attending a sports club and even an ordinary morning jog.
  2. The second stage of skin preparation is to moisten it. Since under physical exertion the entire body, including the skin, loses a large amount of fluid, then these losses must be replenished - both externally and internally. Before you start the exercises, after cleansing procedures, use a moisturizing fluid or gel - a means with a light texture on a water basis, which will quickly absorb and not clog the pores. During training, you can periodically spray your face with thermal water .
  3. Filling fluid losses internally, water (preferably slightly mineralized without gas) should be drunk both during the training and after it (after the normalization of the pulse).
  4. When practicing winter sports, be sure to use face creams. Also on the street it is necessary to protect the skin from ultraviolet, so it is desirable to use a product with UV filters.
  5. When practicing sports, try to touch as little as possible with your hands to your face so that you can not tolerate bacteria. Use paper disposable napkins to get your face wet with perspiration. It is also desirable to have a special band-rim (bandage) - to retain hair and absorb sweat.
  6. After playing sports, the person should immediately wash off with warm water using soft cleansers with antiseptic components that do not contain soap. After this, the face must be thoroughly dried and the moisturizer applied again.
  7. Special care is needed for swimming or other water sports. As a rule, water in the pool is disinfected with chlorine-containing agents, which adversely affect the skin. In this case, a more thorough care requires the skin not only of the face, but and the whole body. Be sure to take a shower before and after visiting the pool and use intensively moisturizing creams. And if the skin of the face is dry, then in front of the pool as a protection you can apply a baby cream.
  8. When carrying out aggressive cosmetic procedures for the face, especially salon ( chemical peeling , dermabrasion, etc.), you should stop exercising for a few days so that the skin does not experience double stress. Such procedures can not be done after a short period of time after physical activity, when the vessels are in a "steamed" state, and after their holding it is necessary to refrain from sports for 2 -3 days.
