Regardless of whether you are an adherent of the natural growing of plants, the compost pile for organic fertilizer will be a good helper, and it is easy to build it yourself.
How to make a compost pile correctly?
Before we move on to the main points of this issue, let us note once again that the compost pit is not synonymous with a garbage dump. Some inexperienced beginners are trying to dump everything that has a natural origin, and sometimes other wastes. So, what needs to be done to ensure that there is a quality compost pile on your site:
- Even before you decide to make a compost pile, warn your households that there should not get all the twigs and leaves with obvious damage to the disease. But we will not throw out such natural rubbish, we need to burn it and then use this wood ash as a fertilizer. Never throw away leftovers of meat, eggs or spoiled food. Useful in this little, but stray dogs or rodents will attract quickly.
- We can not prepare a compost heap on a garden plot only from plants, since some necessary components are simply absent there. For example, we will get a very necessary nitrogen by adding manure or bird droppings to the pit, it is good to throw and siderates. To add to the composition of mineral components, we pour the layers superphosphates, complex additives. By the way, when constructing a compost pile with your own hands, be sure to throw daisies, dandelions and valerians there, as these plants perfectly enhance and accelerate the process of preparing a nutritious cocktail.

You no longer need your compost to get warm and dry. Ideally, these are two boxes. Compost is being prepared for about two years, so that two sources, constantly substituting each other, will become a felling machine. - It will be correct to make a compost pile layer by layer, as this will give the necessary composition. The first layer is always branches of trees and peat, then goes the "brown" layer, then "green". Once you get a layer of 20 cm, it can be moistened with water and covered with a layer of ground with peat. Between layers, you can add already known fertilizers.
Remember that for proper processing in a compost heap, made by hand, never compact it. Even after the settling of the layer, you do not need to do anything with it, just pop it up to a height of one meter. And from time to time we shovel all with pitchforks.
