Extract of belladonna

Ordinary is a poisonous plant, in the leaves, roots and berries which contain alkaloids of the tropane series. First of all, it is atropine, hyoscyamine, scopolamine. These substances have a strong enough antispasmodic effect, so in medicine, krasavka extract is used primarily for spasmodic pain.

Since a safe dose of belladonna extract is very small, it is not used in its pure form, but only in the composition of various medications, with the addition of auxiliary substances.
  2. Extract krasavki dry powder brown or light brown color, containing alkaloids 0,7-0,8%. Since the concentration of alkaloids in the dry extract is less, then in the manufacture of drugs with it, the permissible doses of the substance are two times greater than for the thick extract.

Based on the extract of the belladonna, pills, potions, powders, drops used for the dilatation of the pupil in ophthalmology, rectal suppositories are made. In addition, it is part of some combined potions and tablets.

Tablets with krasavka extract

Gastric tablets with belladonna extract are a preparation of combined (analgesic and spasmolytic) action. The composition of the tablets includes valerian extract - 0,015 g, wormwood extract - 0,012 g, bellad extract - 0,01 g. These pills are used for various diseases of the stomach and intestines, accompanied by spasmodic pains. Take the medicine 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.

Also krasavki extract is contained in such drugs as Bicarbon, Bepasal, Bellallin, Bellastezin. All these drugs are used to treat the stomach, with increased acidity of gastric juice, intestinal spasms and smooth muscles.

Suppositories with belladonna extract

Candles with belladonna are used in the treatment of hemorrhoids and fissures of the anus. The most common are Betiol suppositories (0.02 g extract in one suppository) and Anusol (0.015 g extract). Candles are usually applied 1 to 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 7 suppositories.
