Exercises for the brain

On the one hand, we know that for the growth of mental abilities one must train the brain, and on the other hand, it sounds as if the brain can be pumped up and stretched like a calf muscle. In fact, when we do exercises for the brain, not the organ itself trains, but neural connections. Any task that we need to solve creates new neural connections, that is, new ways in which nerve cells transmit information to each other. So, "smartness" or speed of thinking will increase slightly.

Natural training

Childhood, youth and inquisitive youth are those periods when a person actively learns information and learns to solve life problems. This time in itself is saturated with the best exercises for the development of the human brain. School years, higher education, knowledge of new places, people, customs - regardless of what you have learned and where, the brain is working on new impressions. The function of perception, awareness, memory, analysis is included.

With age, the number of new impressions is falling. Life goes on drastically, everything turns into a stable routine. It is during this period that it is important to stimulate the brain with developmental exercises. And the most useful exercise will be a new vision of things. When everything is already known, you need to push yourself to further development - travel, language courses, the development of new professions. It is important to understand that any new and alien activity is training for the brain.

Sport and the brain

But, no matter how ridiculous it may sound, physical exercises also play a role for brain training. Of course, you can argue about the IQ of various professional athletes, but we now want to draw your attention to the circulation. The more actively we move, the more blood flow and the more oxygen is carried by the blood. This freshly oxygenated blood enters the brain and certainly acts on our mental faculties as a catalyst. Why in this case, do not combine the knowledge of the new and physical activity? For the brain, for example, it will be very useful if you begin to learn a new sport, a combination of alien movements, in the end, remember them.

Eating the brain

Our brain consumes 20% of the energy that enters the body. With such consumer appetites, it is indisputably important for him what exactly we eat. The extinction of mental abilities often develops on the basis of vitamin deficiency, and especially, the deficiency of B vitamins.

Both hemispheres in action

In order to be a fully-fledged and comprehensively developed person, one must be able to look at the world with both halves of his brain. And, as you know, we tend to dominate the right or left hemisphere.

Exercises for the cerebral hemispheres are based on the implementation of diverse, simultaneous movements of the hands and feet. This is used, for example, in oriental dances, where dancers work with their feet in the same rhythm, in parallel, and as it were, separate "flowers" (from dance vocabulary) with hands.

But you can do without dancing. Sit on the high chair so that your legs hang. Hands stretch out in front of you, spread out your fingers and brush hands together. Do sweeps with your hands and keep your fingers always with your fingers together. Complicating: on the dilution of the hands, we reduce our legs together, on the joint hands, we breed our legs widely apart. That is, the hands perform the swing, the legs are closed, swinging with their feet - the fingers are brought together.

Or another exercise that entertains children involved in Wushu: put the finger of the left hand on the tip of the nose, with your right hand, grab for your left ear. We change hands simultaneously: a finger of the right hand on a nose, the left hand holds on the right ear. Do this without stopping, quickly, shifting your hands at the same time.
