Early abortion

The need for early termination of pregnancy can be due to many factors. These are medical indicators, and various reasons of a material or psychological nature.

Types of early abortion

Abortion at an early stage can be done in two main ways: medically or surgically. Let us consider in more detail abortion options in the early stages of pregnancy.

1. Medical abortion at an early stage. To date, this is the method considered to be the most sparing for the body of a woman. It does not provide for surgical intervention, but its use is permissible only on terms of 6-7 weeks. During this period, the fetal egg is still firmly fixed on the wall of the uterus. For abortion at an early stage of pregnancy use: methotrexate and prostaglandin, mifepristone and prostaglandin, as well as misoprostol. Each scheme has a different effect on the woman's body.

2. Manual vacuum aspiration. Mini-abortion in the early stages can be carried out if the pregnancy lasts no longer than six weeks. This method consists in absorbing the contents of the uterine cavity with a special syringe using anesthesia. As a rule, we are talking about local anesthesia, the general use is extremely rare. This method can be used several days after the delay of menstruation.

3. Surgical abortion in early pregnancy. This method is used to interrupt for a period of 6-12 weeks. From the uterus, the fetal egg is scraped together with the mucous membrane. This causes trauma to the female body, therefore, such intervention does not pass without a trace. Complications in this case completely depend on the period of pregnancy.

Consequences of early abortion

Interruption in the early stages most often cause a number of gynecological diseases. If a woman did not give birth, then there is a high probability of infertility. In 12% of patients, the menstrual cycle is broken and it can only be restored by prolonged treatment. One of the most terrible complications is a disruption of the integrity of the uterus or its rupture. As a result, large vessels, intestines, bladder or inflammation of the abdomen can be damaged.

Most often, doctors face prolonged bleeding, various cervical lesions and bleeding disorders. There is a possibility of incomplete egg extraction. If a woman has any chronic diseases of the genitals, then they go to the stage of exacerbation. It is worth remembering that there is a possibility of infection in the uterus during surgery, which can lead to inflammation of the ovaries and uterine cavity.

Abortion on an early date causes injuries not only physical, but also moral character. Most often this procedure is perceived as violence against the body, because women often experience stress and depression.
