The Church of St. Andrew in San Marino was originally located in the building of the previous church of the third century, which was destroyed by the elements. Local residents believe that it was taught by the famous deacon of San Marino, that's why this building is very valuable for them. In 1824, near the oldest city wall, the construction of St. Andrew's Church was begun. A year later the government issued an order that a chapel of the Holy Virgin should be built next to it. That the chapel, that the church was built from the same materials - this is the idea of ​​architects who wanted to unite these buildings at least visually. The church is named in honor of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called.

In 1914 the construction was completed and the Church of St. Andrew in San Marino opened its doors to all parishioners of the state, as well as to curious tourists. In 1973, the church was restored, which was occupied by the famous architect Luigi Fonti. He gave the church a little baroque style and classicism. Decorated the walls with various scenes from the life of the Saints. And the government has already taken care of making valuable exhibits - chapels of the Middle Ages, paintings and icons.
