Gutulia


In the Norwegian Hedmark county there is a unique national park called Gutulia nasjonalpark. Primordial forests are preserved here and rare species of animals live.

Description of sight

The nature protection zone has a small total area of ​​23 square meters. km and was established in 1986 to protect the local flora. In the north it borders with another National Park - Femundslia, and in the east there is a state border with Sweden.

In Gutulia, untouched by human hands, majestic forests, in which are distributed such breeds as birch, pine and spruce. The age of some of them is estimated for centuries. The territory of the National Park is dominated by a continental climate with low rainfall. This contributes to the slow growth of tree-like plants. Animal World of the National Park

The landscape of the nature reserve is covered by lichens, which feed on wild deer. Due to the abundance of such food, these animals can be found in places with severe climatic conditions, inaccessible to other mammals.

In Gutulia, you can find animals such as lemmings, voles, squirrels, martens, wolverines, foxes, etc. Of the representatives of avifauna in the National Park live falcons, thrushes, patches, black grouse, sandpipers and other birds.

When going to visit the nature protection zone, it is necessary to wear comfortable shoes and sports clothes. the road here is branched and stony, and the weather is often windy. The distance from the parking to the central entrance is 2.5 km. If you are tired and hungry, there is a café near the park entrance, where you can have a snack, drink warm or refreshing drinks.

How to get there?

From Oslo to the Gutulia National Park, you can drive by car along the E6 road. The distance is about 320 km. From the nearest cities, the Fv654 runs here. In this case, your path will pass through the lake Gutulisjøen, which runs a small boat-taxi. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
