Description of the building
The age of the church is not so great - they began to build it shortly and the beginning of the Second World War, at the beginning of the 20th century. And the money for its construction was donated not only by the population of the Chaplin community, but also by the whole of Herzegovina. But in 1941 the construction was forced to cease, and only in the early 60-ies the church belfries were completed. After the end of the Bosnian war, in 1996, the building was reconstructed, and now you can see the church of Francis of Assisi in full glory.

All because it intertwined several directions, although it does not prevent you from admiring the elegant facade in a simple style, the bell towers and narrow windows-lancets, with the biblical scenes depicted on them. How to get there?
You can not walk past the church if you get to the city of Chaplin . And it's very easy to get here. First, there is a railway. Secondly, the city is located on the banks of the Neretva River. And thirdly, it is located practically at the crossroads of the motor road from Mostar (about 35 km from Chaplin) to Neum - the only exit of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Adriatic Sea, and the road from Trebinje (the distance to which is about 100 km). Next door is a border crossing to Croatia.
