Can grapes be given to a nursing mother?

Undoubtedly, during lactation, mothers need to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, which contain such necessary vitamins and trace elements. But you need to be selective to these foods.

For example, preference should be given to apples, carrots, potatoes, beets. But with radish, cucumbers, cabbage and peas, you should be careful, because they can cause excessive gas formation in you and the baby.

Grapes for breastfeeding

The same applies to grapes. To introduce it into the diet should be extremely cautious and only three months after the birth of the baby. Grapes with lactation can cause some changes in the composition of the mother's blood and be passed along with the baby to the milk.

Despite the fact that there are a lot of useful things in grapes, they should not get carried away. The rind of the grapes is not digested for a long time in the stomach and therefore causes fermentation and increased gas formation. This leads to inevitable colic in the child.

In addition, the grapes contain a large amount of sugar, which is very easy to digest. And in the first three months, nursing mothers should avoid sweets and adhere to a strict diet. This is necessary not so much for the figure as for the normal operation of the baby's gastrointestinal tract and, therefore, your normal night's sleep.

One "but" in favor of grapes for a nursing mother

If you still decided to experiment and ate a few grapes, follow the reaction of your body. If there is no bloating and other unpleasant symptoms, then, most likely, this product will not affect the baby either.

Nursing mothers with a strong stomach can eat not only grapes, but almost all foods. The main thing - to know the measure, that is, eat everything in just a little bit and at the same time closely monitor the reaction of the baby.
