Boxes for storage by own hands

In everyday life, we use a huge number of things. To make their storage more convenient, you can use beautifully designed boxes and organizers. We offer you several master classes on how to make a decorative box for storing things. Such containers can be used both for small items (children's toys, sewing accessories, jewelry), and for larger (books, towels).

A box for storing books by oneself

For work you will need a cardboard box from small household appliances (kettle, hair dryer, juicer), a small cut of cute fabric, glue "Moment" or glue thermo gun, and sewing accessories - a needle, thread, scissors.

  1. Prepare the box. Carefully cut off the top cover from it and glue all corners with adhesive tape to give the structure strength. On the sides make neat slots in order for the box to be easy to lift and carry.
  2. Cut the fabric into five rectangular pieces according to the dimensions of the sides of the box and sew them together. Do the same for the inside of the box.
  3. Glue the fabric to the cardboard from the outside and from the inside, pulling the canvas so that there are no wrinkles.
  4. Now sew both parts along the top edge of the box using a needle and thread.
  5. Make slits for the handles in the right places and beautifully process the seams. A box for storing books is ready!

Design of a double-sided storage box

Such a box can be used to store small supplies (office, needlework, kitchen, etc.). It is convenient because it consists of two parts: one you can put, for example, pencils, in the other - markers for the child.

  1. Take the usual box from the shoe and in its central part, cut out two identical triangular wedges.
  2. Cut the bottom of the box into two pieces and connect them with "backs" (it will look like the box broke in half).
  3. Glue the "back", and then glue all the corners of the box with adhesive tape. You will only have to beat the product with a cloth, or you can glue it with beautiful textured paper. Also, it will be appropriate to decor in the technique of patchwork, decoupage, etc. As you can see, decorating boxes for storing things is easy, you just need to call your imagination to help!

How to sew a tissue box?

This tissue box is suitable for storing fabric products (towels, bed linen) and large toys (dolls, machines). This capacity is quite stable, and it can be made absolutely of any size and color.

  1. Prepare two cuts of a dense fabric of different colors.
  2. Measure out the necessary width of the future box and stitch the fabric along the side seam.
  3. The seam will be in the middle - later we will close it with a pocket.
  4. On the side of the box, sew two handles - use a cross-shaped seam.
  5. From the same fabric, cut out three narrow strips and sew them into the window - inside insert a rectangle of plastic, and then stitch it on the sewing machine.
  6. Similarly, sew the inside of the box - it should be slightly smaller in size than the outer one.
  7. In order to make the tissue box more dense and keep the shape, you will need this kind of grid.
  8. Sew it inside the box, gently bending the edges inward.
  9. From the dark fabric we make edging so that the edges of the box do not overwrite.
  10. That's what the result looks like - a fairly large tissue box for storing anything!

Also with your own hands you can sew convenient organizers for storing linen and needlework .
