If everything is there, you can start, however, if something is missing, everything is interchangeable - then creativity!

How to sew a backpack of jeans?

  1. First of all, we cut our jeans into components.
  2. Now cut the remnants of jeans into strips about 30 cm long, wide 4.5 cm, the width of the outer bands make 6 cm.
  3. Next, cut the stripes across with a step of 4.5 cm and add a pattern-mosaic.
  4. At the ends we will sew blocks to make beautiful neat corners.
  5. We get the side part of the backpack.
  6. Sew the front part with two sidewalls. Let's make one of the remaining squares of the stock for the straps.
  7. Now let's deal with the back side. We cut 9 bands with dimensions of 35x4 cm (the finished panel should have dimensions 35x35).
  8. For fastening the future valve, take the button-rivet.
  9. Next, we cut 10 squares of 10x10 cm squares from nonwoven.
  10. Next, we begin from the shreds to form a pattern of "log hut" - to lay out scraps on the square, sorting by shade.
  11. We make 10 such blocks. Sew the back wall to the side.
  12. Next, make a fold on the back of the backpack and fix them with pins.
  13. Sew a decorative strip along the backpack from the bottom.
  14. For the top of the pocket, we picked up a suitable logo label.
  15. Zigzag or a figured seam we put on sintepon.
  16. On the back side of the backpack we'll make a pocket - it will be convenient to put a mobile phone or money in it.
  17. Sew the folds on the back of the backpack.
  18. Will make two more small wrinkles in front and, finally, we sew fully the backpack base.
  19. Now let's deal with the bottom. We cut out a rectangle with conjugate angles, the perimeter should be strictly equal to the perimeter of the base, we got 92 cm.
  20. We quilter the sintepon by padding the stiffeners.
  21. Now from the bright flannel and scraps of jeans we will make a lining, we place pockets on the convenience.
  22. The bottom of the lining is also worth decorating.
  23. Next, sew the lining and attach the top.
  24. And, finally, we sew the backpack base with lining. At the same time we will make a wader for a lace.
  25. Further we extend a lace or a ribbon. Our product is already looking.
  26. Now let's do the straps. We already prepared multi-colored stripes-blanks, now we neatly coat them with a denim fabric.
  27. The last important detail remains - the valve. We apply for him a complicated technique "Flick-flak." So, we will prepare 9 squares in sizes 10x10 different shades of jeans.
  28. Next, from a dense transparent plastic, make a template with dimensions of 10x10. We plan the center of each square and draw two lines at an angle of 30 °. We are guided by the drawing.
  29. We cut along the lines.
  30. Now turn the blocks and sew.
  31. Quilting the sintepon on the contours of the figures.
  32. We give the valve the desired shape, at the same time we sew a buttonhole for fastening.
  33. From the stretch denim we make the edging for the valve.
  34. With the help of two creases at the very top, we give the valve a three-dimensional shape.
  35. Now we sew the valve, straps, loop to the backpack, covering everything that is superfluous under the decorative strip or usual cut of jeans.
  36. It remains only to put the bottom in order. We fold the sides of the main fabric with the bottom, fix them with pins, and then only add them.
  37. The bottom of the lining is sewn to the lining, for this we turn on the underside through a previously unsealed hole. After that, we sew the hole.
  38. Finally, our backpack, sewn with our own hands of old jeans, is ready! We enjoy the result of our work.

Also from jeans you can sew the original bag.
