Topiary of fruits

Trees of happiness, also called topiary, bring even more coziness into the home atmosphere. And as a gift, this tree looks pretty decent. Ribbons , coffee , sweets and fruits - which only materials do not use masters to create these crafts. In our master class we will tell you how to make a fruit topiary (a fruit tree) with your own hands.

We will need:

• newspapers;
• Scotch tape;
• foil;
• wooden stick;
• thread;
• skewers made of wood;
• glue;
• artificial fruit;
• pot;
• floral sponge.

1. To make a balloon for the topiary of artificial fruit, crumble several newspapers and wrap them with foil. Then tightly wrap the resulting ball with paint tape. You can apply several layers, so that the base does not lose shape. Then attach a wooden stick to the ball, which will serve as a barrel.
2. Then wrap the ball with dense threads (they can be replaced with twine). Continually change direction so that the threads coalesce. After the ball is wrapped, thread the trunk of the tree with threads, moving spirally downwards. To thread tightly to the ball and trunk, apply a thin layer of glue on them. Wait until it is dry.
3. Now you can start decorating the pot. If you do not have a regular flower pot at hand, you can glue a form of cardboard. Starting from the top, wrap the pot with threads. After the work is completed, cover the surface of the pot with transparent glue.
4. At the bottom of the pot, lay a floral sponge, stick a tree trunk into it. If necessary, add weighting to the pot. Top with gypsum or foam. If the ball of the tree is large, spacers of wire may be needed.
5. When the foam dries, gently cut the excess. And now comes the most interesting moment - it's time to decorate the topiary. For this, prepare artificial fruits and berries. You can cut them into halves. So, let's begin. Using an awl, make a hole in the ball.
6. Pierce the fruit with a toothpick, one end of which is glued with glue. Then fix the fruit on the ball. Similarly, place the decorations on the entire surface of the ball.
7. It remains to decorate the tree with leaflets, to decorate the base of the trunk with a twine, and a bright topiary reminiscent of a warm summer is ready!
