General information about the zoo
Its total area is about 280 hectares. Initially, the institution belonged to one of the main drug mafia gangs in the country, Los Cachiros, but later local authorities confiscated Joya Grande, and now it is administered by the city administration.
Entertainment in the zoo
On the territory of the zoo there is a lot of entertainment for children and adults. Those who want to ride can go horseback riding to the nearby mountains. How to get to the zoo?
Joya Grande is located in the mountains, near the town of Yohoa, the distance from the city center is only 12 km. Near the hotel Posada Del Rey a shuttle is organized to the zoo. Wishing to get to the institution by yourself on the car, follow the signs.
