The foundation of a building is often exposed to various mechanical damages, so it needs additional strengthening and protection. To protect it from the influence of atmospheric precipitation, it is necessary to use special facing materials, for example siding , plaster, wild stone or brick. But if you want to perform the foundation lining quickly and inexpensively, then plastic panels will do. With them, the amount of rough work will be minimal.
Work plan
For foundation lining special baseboards made of high-strength plastic are used. Finishing is carried out in several stages:
- Rims . The metal frame will serve as the basis for the panels and create an additional air layer, which will protect the house from freezing. Reiki need to be installed at a distance of 25-30 cm from each other. When installing, be sure to use a level to make the base smooth.
- The initial bars . They will serve as a guide for the rest of the plastic panels, so they should be installed perfectly evenly. When mounting the starting rail, use screws, twisting them every 30 cm. If such a rake has not completely covered the foundation, then extend it one more.
- J-profiles . They are designed for finishing internal corners and those places where the contour is created. For the facade, the J-bar in the form of a border is suitable. Fasten it with screws, while trying to guide the drill strictly vertically.
- Installing the panels . Attach the panel to the foundation, focusing on the initial bars. Fasten from the left to the right, sequentially trim each side. When the last row is completed you can crown it with the final bar.
