Wall panels

The variety of materials from which panels for walls are currently made, creates such a wide choice that many may become confused. We will examine the main types of wall panels and try to decide which kind of conditions to use better.

3D wall panels

The most modern and interesting kind of wall wallpaper. In its production, various types of substrates are used: aluminum, MDF, wood, glass, which are then applied in a volume textured finish. They look always individually and fit well into almost all rooms of a sufficient area (as volumetric panels can significantly reduce the size of the room during installation). In the shops you can see leather panels for walls, bamboo panels for walls, panels for walls for brick or stone, and many others.

Panels made of plastic for walls

Decorative panels for interior walls made of plastic have been used for a long time. They are cheap, have a beautiful texture. Also this material, thanks to special processing technologies, is not afraid of moisture and hot steam exposure, but also high temperature. Therefore, you can use plastic panels for the walls for the kitchen and do not worry that they can quickly lose their attractive appearance. The top layer of such panels can simulate any material, and also have an unusual pattern. Such panels are fastened to the wall with a special crate by the spike-groove system. This simple method of assembly allows you to independently trim the rooms with panels, even without large building skills. Plastic versions with special marking can be used as exterior facade panels for walls when decorating a house.

Metal panels for walls

Perhaps the most wear-resistant material for wall panels is metal. Usually aluminum is used, because it is light enough to not give a big load to the walls. The metal for these panels is specially treated against corrosion, so these panels are suitable even for walls in the bathroom. On top of the metal panels are covered with PVC film, which can have any pattern. So, very beautiful look panels for walls with a floral pattern or imitating a wooden surface. Metal surfaces are also resistant to temperature changes, so they can be used as wall panels for a balcony.

MDF moisture resistant wall panels

Such material as MDF was developed relatively recently, but many already had time to evaluate its excellent performance. MDF panels are made by dry pressing of wood chips at elevated pressure and temperature. The resulting material with its natural and environmentally friendly composition is much better than wood against moisture and increased temperature. Therefore, such panels are suitable for finishing bathrooms and walls in the kitchen.

Panels for walls under a tree

Wood is one of the oldest materials for wall decoration . Wooden panels look luxurious and expensive. They are usually made of wood, which has a beautiful structure: oak, alder, cedar, maple. At the same time, such material, being unprocessed, will not be suitable for bathrooms, toilets and kitchens, as it is prone to rot and is quite combustible. But if you still want to decorate your bathroom with wood-paneled panels, get a special water-repellent wax that will keep them in their original form).

Glass panels for walls

Panels for walls made of glass are made for applying on them a volumetric and beautiful photoimage. Of course, this material is rather whimsical and capricious, therefore it requires a careful attitude to itself. However, modern methods of tempering the glass make it resistant to shocks and scratches.

Another variant of glass panels is mirror panels for walls, with which it is possible to decorate individual sections of walls in an apartment.
