Pea chickpeas - cultivation

Turkish peas can be grown on a non-cultivated herbicide site with a small amount of perennial weeds. The chosen place should be dug in advance and choose the roots.

It is recommended to land in April. To do this, we make shallow trenches at a distance of 25-30 cm. We deepen the peas by 8-12 cm (depending on the soil moisture content), retreating 10 cm between them. The whole maintenance of chickpeas consists in breaking through the weeds and weekly watering. Collect the crop after the plant dries completely.

What is the difference between chick peas and green peas?

Barley pea is different from usual not only by its taste, appearance (in size, more bumpy surface, color), but also the content. There are less protein in the chickpea, but it is better absorbed, more fat, higher nutritional value (about 360 kcal per 100 g), better composition of minerals and vitamins, as well as the acids necessary to man (especially tryptophan and methionine).

When cooking chickpeas it should be taken into account that it needs to be cooked longer and must be pre-soaked for 12 hours, but it causes less gassing.
