The world's first surviving twin-seedling turns 20 years old!

November 19, 1997, the family of Bobby and Kenny McCoy (McCaughey family) fell on the front pages of news publications - the couple had seven children!

The appearance of four boys and three girls was a real medical miracle. Up to this point, never before, all seven of the septulet, namely the so-called seed, did not survive.

Are you surprised how McKogi's spouses turned out to be parents with many children? Yes, it's very simple ... After the birth of Mikaela's first daughter, the couple could not get another baby for a long time. Then came to the aid of IVF, but not with a double or triple bonus, as it happens now, but sevenfold. Yes, Bobby has adopted all seven embryos, and because of religious beliefs, the future spouses flatly refused to give up one of them, ignoring the health threats and unfavorable forecasts of physicians.

The global replenishment in the McKogi family happened 9 weeks ahead of schedule. Fortunately, all the newborn babies survived, with an average weight of about 1 kg, but two - a boy named Nathan and a girl Alexis - had a disappointing diagnosis - cerebral palsy. Then these babies were immediately operated on, so that in the future they could walk on their own, and Nathan almost managed to defeat the disease, but Alexis is still moving with the help of walkers.

Of course, a large family known to the whole world was not left alone to cope with difficulties - they were actively assisted by various charitable organizations and foundations, giving a seven-bedroom house and the opportunity for all kiddies to eat free and study in college when they grow up.

As you may have guessed, seven of Bobby's and Kenny's children have always been at the camera cameras of journalists. About the unique septu now and then written in the press, the family met with President George W. Bush and ...

and even visited the Oprah Winfrey show. But ... remembering the sad fate of the five-year-old Dion, whose life was ruined by the excessive media attention, the McCaugy's spouses decided to permanently stop public life after the children were 10 years old. An exception was made only for the Dateline NBC channel - they were allowed to shoot one episode per year for a special film.

Already very soon, Kenny, Jr., Alexis, Natalie, Kelsey, Nathan, Brandon and Joel will celebrate their first anniversary - they will be 20 years old. And do not you want to know how they are now?

Kenneth McCogi - future builder!

Kenny Jr., or rather - the oldest of all brothers and sisters, was born only 1, 474 kg. Now this cute young man is already a student of the construction department of the local college in Des Moines. Kenny took the opportunity to get an education free of charge, and admitted that he was not so upset about his early separation from his family: "I honestly believe that it will be better for all of us if we go on different paths in life!"

Alexis May is the future kindergarten teacher!

And this beautiful girl was born before all her sisters. November 19, 1997 she weighed only 1219 grams, and immediately survived the operation (it was then diagnosed her cerebral palsy). And despite the fact that today Alexis still can not move independently, in high school she managed to visit the second captain of the cheerleaders. By the way, Alexis will study at the same college as Kenneth, but at another faculty. Her career as a girl sees only as a teacher of preschool children.

Kelsey Ann is a future famous singer!

Who would have thought that a baby, weighing only 907 grams after birth will be a strong and beautiful voice? By the way, Kelsey started singing literally from the diapers and continued in the girls' girw of the Carlisle school. Today, the youngest of McCogi's sisters is studying at the University of Hannibal-Lagrange (on a scholarship that was given to them at birth), but in the future sees himself as only a star in the music scene!

Natalie Sue - the future teacher of elementary grades!

Natalie is the average of McKogi's sisters. At birth, her weight was only 977 grams. By the way, after graduation, she was on the list of 15% of the smartest graduates of the class! Today, Natalie also took a grant from the University of Hannibal-Lagrange and is pleased to receive the profession of a primary school teacher.

Nathan Roy is the future specialist!

Born as the fifth of the seven, Nathan weighed just 1.145 kg. He was that second baby, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and had an operation. In 2005, the boy underwent another surgical intervention on the spine to move today without anyone's help. By the way, Nathan often sees himself at the University of Hannibal-Lagrange with his sisters, as he studies there at the Faculty of Informatics!

Brandon James is an infantryman!

Brandon was born the sixth in a row, and weighed at birth 970 grams. After school, he is the only one who did not continue further education and went into the army. Now Brandon serves in the infantry.

Joel Stephen is a future programmer!

Joel Stephen was pleased with his appearance in the light of his parents the latest. Then the kid weighed 975 grams, and now he is also a student at the University of Hannibal-Lagrange, and computers are still the only passion of his life!

Today, Bonnie and Kenny McCaugee are sad to watch their children leave their family nest. But when asked how they managed to raise such a magnificent seven, they answered with a joke:

"The best way is to just get them one at a time!"
