Strongyloidosis - symptoms, treatment

Strontyloidosis is a disease caused by nematodes - round worms, the size of which varies from 0.7 to 2.2 mm in length and 0.03-0.06 mm in width. Once in the body, helminths can live for years without showing themselves. But sometimes the disease can be acute and even lead to death.

Symptoms of strongyloidiasis

Symptoms of the disease depend on the stage of development of helminthiosis and on its form. At an early stage, you can observe such signs of the presence of helminths:

  2. The site of the rash grows very quickly.
  3. There is weakness, joint pain, dizziness, changes in the lymph nodes and internal organs.
  4. Approximately on the 4th-5th day after infection, a damp cough appears, breathing becomes difficult, when hearing in the lungs rales are audible.

  2. The liver is enlarged, the patient feels pain in the region of the right hypochondrium.
  3. Lack of appetite, poor health, nausea, vomiting.
