Burov's fluid

Back in the 19th century, the famous German doctor KA. Burov proposed a prescription for antiseptic treatment of the skin and mucous membranes. A modern recipe for this drug has undergone some changes. Since 1930, on the initiative of doctors Ivanov and Brodsky from medicament, harmful lead sulfate has been removed. This allowed to make the liquid Burov not only effective, but also absolutely safe solution.

Composition and application of Burov's fluid

Described medicine looks like water - it is clear and colorless. The drug has a sweet astringent taste, a faint aroma of acetic acid.

The Burov liquid is a solution of (aqueous) aluminum acetate with a concentration of 8%. To prepare the preparation in question, only the basic monosubstituted salt of the active ingredient can be used. The average and disubstituted form of aluminum acetate does not possess antiseptic properties.

The presented liquid has a local anti-inflammatory and astringent effect. In high concentrations, it also produces an antibacterial effect.

These qualities are due to the use of the solution. It is prescribed for the treatment of skin and mucous membranes with various inflammatory lesions of tissues.

In pure form, Burov's fluid is not used. It is diluted with water in various proportions, usually 10-20 times, sometimes a lower concentration is required. The resulting solution is used for:

The standard version of the dilution is 1 tbsp. Spoon a liquid in 1 cup of clean water.

The drug does not cause side effects, it is completely safe even with a tendency to allergic reactions, so it has no contraindications.
