Steam baths for face

It's no secret that the basis for quality skin care is its cleansing. What is it for? Unfortunately, not many of us live in ecologically clean areas. And every day from morning till night our skin is exposed to unfavorable factors from the outside. These include the sun, and the wind, and low air temperature, and street dust, and the secret of sweat and sebaceous glands, and, of course, make-up. Regardless of the type of skin, steam baths can be used to cleanse the face.

How it works?

Warm steam leaving the bath warms the skin, softens its upper layer, opening the pores and washing out the accumulated dirt with the help of intense sweating. The facial steamer acts very gently, gently strengthens blood circulation in the surface vessels, so that the skin is faster saturated with oxygen and nutrients. Due to water vapor, there is also an additional moisturizing of the skin, which is important for preventing premature aging.

How correctly to do or make trays for the face?

The water is heated in a large vessel to a temperature of about 50 degrees, until warm steam comes. Then you need to cover your head towel and bend over the container no closer than 30-40 cm, so as not to get burned. Baths and frequency of adoption are chosen according to the type of skin:

  1. For oily or combination skin, they are carried out no more than once a week. Duration of the procedure is 10-15 minutes. In the water for the best effect is to add essential oils of green tea, citrus or coniferous plants in an amount of 4-5 drops.
  2. Dry skin needs deep cleansing even less often, no more than twice a month. They last up to 5 minutes and work better with the addition of camomile, lavender and rosewood oil. For very dry and flaky skin such baths will not be enough. Better to use paraffin baths for the face. They significantly more effectively soften and moisturize the skin.
