Tarragona: Amphitheater
The main attraction of the Old Town is the Amphitheater. It was built in the second century BC. The arena of the amphitheater was able to accommodate about 12 thousand spectators. In addition to theatrical performances, famous gladiators fought here. They also executed the death sentence here.
Today the Amphitheater is completely destroyed and only ruins remain.
Tarragona: the Devil's Bridge
