Goa, Vagator

This time I would like to invite you to visit the fabulous corner of India, the village of Vagator, which is located in the state of Goa. This is an excellent place for a youth holiday by a big noisy company or for a vacation trip together with children. The resort village of Viagor stretches along the central part of the northern coastline of Goa . In addition to being a good place for a beach holiday on the coast of the Arabian Sea itself, there are other popular beaches nearby. Striking examples - the cleanest beaches of the Chapora or Anjuna villages (this is in case you get tired of the local informal youth). Interesting? Then let's find out what to expect from a holiday in the village of Vagator.

General information

Calling the beaches of the village of Vagator the most visited visitor place in Goa will be wrong. On the beaches in the village there are fewer Russian-speaking holidaymakers than in any other local resort village. But many people find their advantages in this, and the rest itself is more colorful, the impact of a new, unfamiliar culture is much more tangible. The entire northern coast of Goa is the best place for a beach holiday. The air temperature here rarely exceeds the 26-28 degree mark, which is very preferable if you are not used to the heat. It is best to come here, by local standards, in winter. At this time, the weather here is the most stable, the vagaries of nature in the form of protracted storms are extremely rare. Some hotels in the village of Vagator are built in close proximity to the beach. By the way, it should be noted that there are quite a lot of them here, both for such a small settlement. The choice of housing in the village is pleasantly surprising. Here you can sit in a chic room or in an inexpensive beach house (guesthouse) for less than $ 50 per day.

Beaches and Nearby Attractions

The longest of the local beaches, which is called the Great Vagator, is located near the most interesting sight of these places - Fort Chapora, which was erected almost five hundred years ago. This is a great place for a family holiday, because the bathing area is much more suitable for children. But, despite all these obvious advantages, there are always quite a few people here. If you take a walk in the direction of the ancient fort, then, breaking a low ridge of rocks, you will get to another beach - White Rock Beach. This place is almost always deserted, and the rare locals that rest here are very loyal to tourists. With all its remoteness, there are two eateries and completely free sunbeds.

The next beach is called Small Vagator, life always beats the key! Along the coast, countless cafes, snack bars and nightclubs are built. Perhaps, the most popular of them is the night club "Nine bar". This place is located on a hill with a beautiful view of the sunset. On this beach Vagatora there is an interesting sculpture - the head of the local deity of Shiva. The face of Shiva is carved right on the stone that lies in the middle of the beach Big Vagator at the very sea. Carved by sculptor Giuseppe Caroli aka Jangle at the beginning of his creative career. Many of the local nightclubs are also painted with his hand. It always reigns hubbub and music plays, because this beach has become the haven of all the informals from Goa. Rest on this beach can be anything, but not boring!

Our virtual tour is coming to an end, in the end I would like to advise how best to get to the resort village of Vigator. To do this, you should fly to the nearby village of Dabolim, and from there already get on the roads. And finally, a tip: do not take the money for a taxi, get to the destination by local buses - this is a real torture!
