Rhythmic gymnastics of the 80s

Probably, there will not be a person from those who in the 80s of the last century had already left the slider period, who did not know about rhythmic gymnastics. For those who read the phrase "rhythmic gymnastics" with a smile, I will explain in the USSR the so-called aerobics. For some reason, at first, we did not want to recognize the foreign word for aerobics and called the complex of exercises for music, which began to develop in the 80's - rhythmic gymnastics. But the rhythmic gymnastics acquired special popularity in the USSR in the period from 1984 to 1990. Because since 1984 rhythmic gymnastics complexes began to be shown on television, and these programs have for a long time become one of the favorite among the audience of the Union. And even more popular love these TV programs have won thanks to the fact that the complexes of rhythmic gymnastics were demonstrated by well-known sportsmen and actors.

Let's remember together, who was then at the head of propaganda of a healthy lifestyle. So, the debut release of the program with a set of rhythmic gymnastics was released in 1984, and led by his figure skater Natalia Linichuk. In 1985, four screens appeared on the screens with a demonstration of rhythmic gymnastics exercises. From January to March, the audience was pleased with the famous ballerina Lilia Sabitova, from March to April the complex of rhythmic gymnastics was led by Elena Bukreeva - Honored Master in Artistic Gymnastics. And the most unusual release in 1985, published from July to August was conducted by Natalia Linichuk and Igor Bobrin. The unusual thing about this release was that the exercises were carried out not only in gyms, but also in nature. Elena Bukreeva again shone in the telecasts dedicated to the Soviet version of aerobics in 1986. And Igor Bobrin liked working out in the fresh air so much that from the beginning of 1987 he demonstrated a complex of rhythmic gymnastics in nature in the winter. In May 1987, the frozen Igor Bobrin handed the baton to Natalia Efremova. And in 1988 there was another exotic rhythmic gymnastics release that Svetlana Rozhnova led on the sea. Classes were held on the coast of one of the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory. From March to April 1989 rhythmic gymnastics was given by Svetlana Rozhnova, Lilia Sabitova, Natalia Efremova and Elena Bukreeva. This issue was called "Apartment", the main idea was that you can do aerobics in the halls, and in nature, and on vacation, and even in your own apartment. In May 1990, a program was broadcast with aerobics classes, already in the American manner, with Oleg Knish and Svetlana Rozhnova as the presenter. And the leading issue of the last issue, released in September 1990, was again Oleg Knysh. More rhythmic gymnastics classes on TV were not broadcast, only from the 80 to 90 years came to the screens of 12 complexes of aerobics. It's hard to say why it happened, perhaps with the collapse of the Union, they did not want to restore the old broadcasting grid and headed for other landmarks, and maybe because the name "rhythmic gymnastics" was already giving up its positions, in the late 80s our country was still recognized by the international the name "aerobics" for such exercises.

But the development of aerobics with the departure from the central channel did not end. The seminars on aerobics were held regularly, and foreign experts took part in them. And at the end of the 1980s a team of sports aerobics was created in the USSR, which quite successfully performed at the first championships of Europe and the world. Today, many members of the team have become one of the most famous and successful trainers and instructors in aerobics.
